AMEDEUS' CFB WEDNESDAY WINNER!
(NCAAF) Bowling Green vs. Kent State,
Point Spread: 10.50 | -107.00 Kent State (Home)
Result: Loss
Bowling Green is coming into this game with a 5-4 record this season and they have been playing well recently as they have won their last 3 straight games as well as 4 of their last 5 games. Their last 3 games have also been against some of the weaker teams in the conference, beating Akron, Ball State, and Buffalo. Other than their big win over Akron at home, Bowling Green has not really beaten any other teams this season by more than 10 points. They did beat Buffalo by 10 points exactly and they also beat Georgia Tech by 11 points but that was also a game GA Tech was looking ahead in as they beat Miami the next week. Bowling Green is going up against a Kent State team that has been awful this season as they are 1-8 overall and have yet to win a conference game at 0-5 this year. Kent State had an awful start to the season with big offensive problems as they were struggling to even score double digits with Michael Alaimo starting at QB. Recently they have made a change at QB going with Tommy Ulatowski in their last game and even though they blew a late lead in that game to lose to Akron, they still played a lot better in that game with their offense scoring 27 points, their highest offensive output against an FBS opponent all season. Kent State is only going to build off of that close loss last week and now that they are back at home for this game, they are going to be hungry for a better performance on both sides of the ball. Kent State has the ability to pull off an upset win here with their new QB leading the offense and their team continuing to improve each week. Kent State will cover the spread in this game.
