The Saints are coming into this game with a 5-4 record this season and they have been starting to heat up now that they have the 1st place spot in the NFC South. They have a very good defense that is top 5 in the NFL for pass defense and they played a lot better in their last game as well. Their defense has kept them in a lot of their games this season but now their offense has been playing much better as well, scoring at least 24 points in each of their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 5 games. Derek Carr has been playing much better in this offense and has not thrown an interception in their last 2 games either. They are going up against a Vikings team that has a lot of confidence on their side after the way they beat the Falcons last week, but their good fortune is going to come to an end here. They are 5-4 this season and have won their last 4 straight games after an awful start to the season and they even managed to win on the road last week with Josh Dobbs at QB who they acquired from the Cardinals that week. As good as he was in that game, they are not going to recreate that magic again despite being at home here, especially against this Saints defense that is not going to allow them to score many points. The Saints have a much better team right now with the injuries to the Vikings and this game is a mismatch. The Saints will cover the spread in this game.
