Boston College is coming into this game with a 6-4 record this season and they have been playing very well recently. They won 5 straight games to become bowl eligible but are now coming off of a loss in their last game as they lost at home to Virginia Tech 48-22. Boston College had a bit of a let down in that home game as they had just become bowl eligible the week before but now they will be hungry to finish their season strong and will be trying to bounce back in this game. They are going up against a Pittsburgh team that is 2-8 this season and they have been awful in the ACC with only 1 win in their 6 conference games. Their only win in the conference came at home against Louisville but they have been awful since then with 4 straight losses and their last 3 losses have all been by double digits as well. Pittsburgh has nothing left to play for this season and they are not going to have the motivation in this game against a good Boston College team that is hungry to bounce back. Pitt has also failed to score more than 13 points in each of their last 3 games, scoring just 7 points in 2 of those, and Boston College has a much better offense to bury them with as Pitt does not have the offense to play from behind here.
