The Bears are coming into this game with a 3-7 record this season and they are coming off of a win in their last game. They barely beat the Panthers at home 16-13 in Tyson Bagent's last game starting as Justin Fields will be returning for this game, but Fields is not much of an upgrade as they are 1-5 this season in the games he has started. He was playing better in his last 3 games before getting injured but those games were also against much worse defenses in the Broncos and the Commanders. The Lions have a much better defense that is one of the better ones in the NFL and they also have one of the best run defenses so Fields is going to have trouble using his legs and finding relief in the run game. They are going up against a Lions team that is 7-2 this season and have won their last 2 straight games since getting embarrassed by the Ravens. The Lions are coming off of a big 41-38 win against a good Chargers team on the road but they have also been dominant at home recently, winning their last 3 straight games there by 10 points or more. The Lions may struggle more to run the ball here as the Bears also have a good run defense, but their pass defense is one of the worst in the NFL and Goff will be able to win this game with his arm the way he has been playing this year. The Lions will cover the spread in this game.
