McNeese State is coming into this game with a 4-0 record this season. They were not a good team last year as they were 11-23 overall and they are also returning less than 35% of their team from last year. They started this season well with a nice road win against VCU, beating them by double digits, but their last 3 wins have all been at home against teams who are not in Division I. They have not played any tough teams since that 1st game and now they are going on the road again against their toughest test of the season so far. They are going up against a Western Carolina team that is 3-0 this season and has had a much tougher schedule. They were decent last season as they were 18-16 overall but they are also returning over 70% of their team and have improved a lot in these first few games. They opened up their season against a Dalton State team that is not in Division I but they also followed up with road wins against Notre Dame and Middle Tennessee. Now they are back at home for their 1st home game of the season against a Division I school and they are going to get up for this game with how good they have been.
