Elon is coming into this game with a 2-2 record this season. They were awful last season as they finished 8-24 overall but they are returning more than half of their team and also made some moves in the portal to improve. They have also had a much tougher schedule this year with their 2 wins coming at home to East Tennessee State and on a neutral site against IUPUI while their 2 losses were both on the road against Wake Forest and North Dakota. They are playing on a B2B here but they are coming off of a win in their only neutral site game this year and they are going up against a much worse team who is also on a B2B here. They are going up against a Holy Cross team that is 1-3 this season and has not been playing well. Holy Cross was also awful last season as they were 10-22 overall and they are returning around 65% of their team as well. They have not made many steps to improve this season though and it has been evident in their first few games that this is still a bad team. Their only win this season came on the road by 1 point against Georgetown while their 3 losses were on the road to Siena and Winthrop as well as a home loss to Sacred Heart. They have been losing to mediocre teams and are now playing their 1st neutral site game of the year against a much better team. Elon will cover the spread in this game.
