Michigan is coming into this game with a 3-1 record this season and they are dealing with the huge loss of one of their best players Hunter Dickinson who left for Kansas in the transfer portal. He was their leading scorer last season and they also lost their 2nd and 3rd scorers to the NBA so they have had to make a lot of moves in the portal and will be having a rebuild kind of season. They opened their season with 2 big wins at home by 10+ points and then went on the road to beat St John's, but they followed up that win with a loss at home to Long Beach State in their last game and now they are playing at a neutral location against their toughest opponent of the season so far. They are going up against a Memphis team that is 3-0 this season and they have been dominant in their 3 wins. All 3 of their wins this season have been by 10+ points and even though their 2 home wins were against Jackson State and Alabama State, they also have a nice road win against Missouri by 10+ points as well. Memphis is not returning a lot of players from last year but they have been a very good program under Hardaway and he will have his team ready for this game against a Michigan team that will be taking a step back this season.
