The 49ers are coming into this game with an 11-4 record this season and they have already locked up the NFC West this year, but they still have the number 1 seed in the NFC up for grabs. The 49ers have been playing very well all season with a lot of wins by large margins as 3 of their last 4 wins have been by 2 touchdowns or more. They are coming off of a very bad loss at home against the Ravens last week as they lost that game 14 points, but they will be hungry to bounce back here and they have already beaten up on a lot of teams with losing records this season. They are going up against a Commanders team that is 4-11 this season and they have not been playing well at all recently. They have lost their last 6 straight games with their last 2 losses being much closer games against the Jets and the Rams, but they also have 3 blowout losses by 10+ points prior to that as they lost to the Dolphins, Cowboys, and the Giants. The Commanders do not have anything to play for this season with their playoff hopes being gone already and with the team's new ownership, there is going to be a lot of changes in the offseason anyway so there is no incentive for the Commanders to win this game in a hopeless season. The 49ers are still alive for the number 1 seed in the NFC though and they need to win this game while also wanting to bounce back from a very tough loss last week.
