The Texans are coming into this game with a 9-7 record this season and they have 1 job in this game: win and they clinch a playoff spot whether it be a Wild Card spot if the Jaguars win or the AFC South Title if the Jaguars lose. They have been playing very well recently to get themselves into this position as well, winning 2 of their last 3 as well as 3 of their last 5 games, and they were missing their starting quarterback for 2 of their last 3 games as well. CJ Stroud was finally back in their last game and they took care of business at home against the Titans as they won 26-3. They are going up against a Colts team that is also 9-7 this season and is in the same situation as the Texans where if they win they clinch themselves a playoff spot. The Colts have been playing better recently as they have won 2 of their last 3 games with both of those losses coming at home, but 1 of those wins came against the Steelers in Trubisky's last start for them and their last win was against a Raiders team that has been through a lot this season. The Colts allowed the Raiders to stick around in that game last week as well and the Texans are going to be playing for the playoff spot here but also with revenge on their mind. The Texans have one of the better run defenses in the NFL this season so the Colts are going to have trouble running the ball in this game which means Minshew will have to try and beat this defense with his arm which is something he will not do. The Colts defense has also been allowing big plays all year and the Texans have the much better quarterback in CJ Stroud to attack this Colts defense deep and get big plays down field. The Texans are going to win this game and secure themselves a playoff spot here. The Texans will win this game.
