Michigan is coming into this game as an undefeated team this season and they are coming off of a 27-20 win in OT against Alabama to get to this game. Michigan was dominant on the ground in that game but a lot of their dominance came in the 1st half as well. They started to lose their momentum in the 2nd half as Alabama took the lead on them and Michigan had to come back late just to tie the game and give themselves a chance in OT. They are going up against a Washington team that is also undefeated this season and is coming off of a 37-31 win against Texas in their last game to get here. The score is a lot closer than that game actually was though as Washington dominated Texas from start to finish in that game and were never trailing in the game either. Michigan is a very dominant team on the line of scrimmage and they have one of the best defenses in the country, but this Washington defense is also an elite defense despite not having the stats to back them up. Washington's defense always shows up when they are needed as they bailed this offense out multiple times during the season when the offense was not at their best and they will do what they need to do in this game to get the job done as that is the kind of defense they are and they are going to respond to whatever situation they find themselves in. Michigan also has a very good running game but the Washington offense is much stronger and has a lot more talent at key positions. Washington has an NFL quarterback in Michael Penix Jr and the Michigan defense is going to struggle heavily to stop him and his group of NFL WRs. Washington is the best team in the country this year and they are going to win the National Championship. Washington will cover the spread in this game.
