UC Riverside is coming into this game with a 7-11 record this season and they have not been playing very well in their recent games. They have lost 3 of their last 4 as well as 4 of their last 6 games with their only 2 wins in that span coming at home. They are 2-4 in the conference with both wins coming at home as they beat UC Santa Barbara by 2 points and also beat up on Cal Poly who is the worst team in the conference. They are going up against a Cal State Bakersfield team that is 5-11 this season and has not been playing well in their recent games either. They have lost their last 5 straight as well as 7 of their last 8 games and they are also 0-5 in the conference right now. They lost their 2 home games against Hawaii and UC Irvine but they have been playing much better in their last 2 games despite losing them. They lost their last 2 games on the road against UC Santa Barbara and against UC Davis in their last game, but both of those games went to OT as CSU Bakersfield kept the games close all night. Now they are back at home coming off of those 2 close losses in OT and they are going to be hungry to get their 1st conference win of the season here against a UC Riverside team that has struggled on the road and has been awful all season.
