AMEDEUS' AFC CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE POCKET PLAY!
(NFL) Kansas City vs. Baltimore,
Point Spread: 4.00 | -101.00 Kansas City (Away)
Result: Win
The Ravens are coming into this game as the number 1 seed in the AFC and recently they have been playing like the team to beat in the NFL. They have the home advantage in this game and blew by another opponent last week when they beat the Texans 34-10. The Ravens also have one of the best offenses and defenses in the NFL this season, but they are still going up against a Chiefs team that are the defending Super Bowl champions and they have the pedigree and experience of being in this situation before. The strength of the Chiefs this season has been their defense which has also been playing great recently. They did allow 24 points last week in Buffalo but they have also allowed just 17 points or less in 3 of their last 4 as well as 4 of their last 6 games. This has also been a strong trend for the Chiefs all season as they have the 2nd best defense in the NFL this season for points allowed, averaging 17.3 points allowed per game, which is only 0.8 points more allowed per game than the Ravens defense which leads the NFL in that category. The Chiefs defense is good enough to keep this Ravens offense at bay and make this a very close game, but the Chiefs offense has also been much better in recent weeks as well. The Chiefs have been struggling a lot on offense this season but their offense has been much better over the last few weeks as they have been gaining momentum. They have won their last 4 straight games and they have scored at least 25 points in 3 of those 4 games. The Chiefs are also very good in the underdog role as they are 5-1 ATS as an underdog the last 3 seasons and 4-0 ATS as a road underdog in that same span, going 2-0 ATS in both roles this season alone. The Ravens are also coming off of a 34-10 win against the Texans in their last game and the Ravens are actually awful coming off of a blowout win as they are 0-5 ATS over the last 3 seasons after a win by 21 points or more, going 0-4 ATS this season alone when in that position. At the end of the day, the Ravens are good but the Chiefs have the Championship pedigree and know what they need to do as they have been in this position before while this Ravens team has not. The Chiefs will cover the spread in this game.
