The Magic are coming into this game with a 24-22 record this season but they have not been playing well in their recent games. They have lost 2 of their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 6 games. They have some bad losses against good teams in that span like their 10+ point losses to the Cavaliers and the 76ers while also having some bad losses against the Grizzlies and the Hawks who both have losing records. They are coming off of a win in their last game against a banged up Suns team, but that win also came at home where they have been much better this season. Now they are traveling to Dallas for this game and are in a very bad spot as they are playing on a B2B after beating the Suns and this is also their 3rd game in the last 4 days. The Magic have been much worse on the road this season as they are 9-15 on the road and they are going up against a Mavericks team that is going to be at home and rested for this game. The Mavericks have not been playing well recently either as they have lost 4 of their last 5 games, but they have also played against much stronger teams with winning records in that span. The Mavericks are also coming off of a 5 point loss at home against the Kings in their last game and they are going to be hungry to bounce back here against a bad road team and get a much needed win now that they are rested. The Mavericks will cover the spread in this game.
