Saint Joseph's is coming into this game with a 20-12 record this season and they are 9-9 in the conference. They are coming off of a win against George Mason in their last game which was the last round of this tournament and they have won 3 of their last 4 games as well, but all of those wins have come against weaker teams in the conference as well. They have actually been awful against the stronger teams in the A10 this season as they have lost their last 5 straight games against conference opponents with better records than them in the A10, losing 2 of their last 3 games by 10+ points as well. They are going up against a Richmond team that is 23-8 this season and finished the regular season with the best record in the conference at 15-3. They are coming off of a loss in their last game which was on the road against George Mason, but that was also their last game of the season. Prior to that loss, they had been playing very well as they won 6 straight games and had some quality wins against some of the better teams in the conference in that span. Despite having the best conference record for most of the season, Richmond has still been getting disrespected as Dayton, who finished 3rd in the regular season, has been the ranked team in the conference for the last few weeks. Richmond knows they need to make a splash in this tournament to get the NCAA bid and they are going to get up for this game since they have been the better team in the conference all season and just beat this Saint Joseph's team by 7 points over a week ago.
