BYU is coming into this game with a 23-9 record this season and they are 10-8 in the conference. They are coming off of a 10+ point win against UCF in the last round of this tournament and they have been playing very well in their recent games as they were heating up into this tournament. They have won their last 2 straight as well as 4 of their last 5 games with their only loss in that span coming on the road by 5 points against Iowa State. They also have some quality wins in that span like their win against TCU and their road win against Kansas. They are going up against a Texas Tech team that is 22-9 this season and is 11-7 in the conference. They are coming off of a home win against Baylor in their last game of the regular season and they have been playing well recently as they have won their last 3 straight games, but their other 2 wins in that span also came against the 2 worst teams in the Big 12 this year in West Virginia and Oklahoma State. Prior to this game 3 game win streak, they had lost 3 of their last 4 games with losses against teams like Texas and UCF. Texas Tech has been good this season but they have been very inconsistent while BYU has been a strong team all season and has been heating up with some quality wins coming into this tournament. They are going to have some extra incentive here since they did lose their only meeting with Texas Tech this season, losing by 7 points on the road in a game that was played back in January. BYU is going to be hungry for revenge here and they are going to get up for this game since they have been playing well recently and have a chance to make a deep run in the Big 12 Tournament.
