Tulsa is coming into this game with a 16-14 record this season and they are 7-11 in the conference. They have not been great this season as they have struggled in the conference but recently they have been heating up into this tournament. They are going up against an East Carolina team that is 14-17 this season and is also 7-11 in the conference this year. East Carolina was not bad to start the conference schedule, but recently they have been awful as they have finished the season in a complete spiral. They have lost their last 5 straight games with 4 of those 5 losses coming by 10+ points. They have been blown out by some of the weaker teams in the conference in that span as well, losing to North Texas and Rice by 10+ points. Tulsa has been playing much better in their recent games with some quality wins and they are going to get up for this game as they are the better team and know winning this tournament is the only way to get a bid to the NCAA.
