St. Bonaventure is coming into this game with a 19-12 record this season and they are 9-9 in the conference. They are coming off of a win in their last game which was the 1st round of this conference tournament, but they only beat La Salle by 2 points in that game who was one of the worst in the conference this season. They are going up against a Loyola Chicago team that is 23-8 this season and they finished with the best record in the conference this year at 15-3. Loyola is trying to prove themselves as a tournament team once again after missing out last year and they have definitely been playing like a tournament team all season. They have won their last 3 straight as well as 10 of their last 11 games with a lot of quality wins in that span. Their only loss in that span was actually on the road against St. Bonaventure right before Loyola had to play Dayton the game after, and that loss to St. Bonaventure was also their only meeting with them this season. St. Bonaventure barely squeaked by La Salle in their last game but now they have to play on a B2B against one of the best teams in this conference who has been playing much better and they are going to have the extra incentive in this game of wanting to get revenge for the loss in their only game against the Bonnies this year.
