AMEDEUS' CBB NCAA FIRST FOUR HARDCOURT HAMMER!
(NCAAB) Colorado vs. Boise State,
Point Spread: -3.00 | -110.00 Colorado (Away)
Result: Win
Colorado is coming into this game with a 24-10 record this season and they were 13-7 in their conference. They have been playing very well in their recent games as they have won 8 of their last 9 games and they lost in the final of the Pac-12 Tournament to Oregon in their last game. They have a quality win over Washington State from the tournament and they have been gaining a lot of steam over the last few weeks. Colorado came close to winning the Pac-12 Tournament and securing the NCAA bid but they did enough to earn this First Four game and they are going to get up for it with the tournament on the line here. Their defense has also been much better in their recent games as they have allowed under 60 points in 3 of their last 4 games and that defensive play is going to show up here to help them get through. They are going up against a Boise State team that is 22-10 this season and was 13-5 in their conference, finishing in 2nd place during the regular season. They were heating up a lot toward the end of the season but they started to fizzle out right at the end and have now lost 2 of their last 3 games. They also fizzled out in their 1st round of the MWC Tournament with a 10 point loss to New Mexico. Boise State has lost a lot of their steam with the way they finished the season and they have also been a much stronger team at home all season with a noticable difference in their play on the road or at neutral locations. Colorado has a lot more talent as they were ranked coming into the season and expected to have a much better season, but now they are starting to play like that team as they are hot and playing good defense. Colorado will cover the spread in this game.
