(MLB) Cincinnati vs. Seattle,
Money Line: 132.00 Cincinnati (Away)
Result: Loss
The Reds are coming into this game with a 9-6 record this season and they have been playing very well in their recent games. They just swept the White Sox in their last series, winning their last 3 straight as well as 4 of their last 6 games. Their pitching has been great recently as they allowed 1 run or less in 2 of their last 3 games, averaging under 2 runs allowed per game in their last 3 games, and their offense has also been on fire as they have scored at least 5 runs in their last 3 straight as well as 5 of their last 6 games, scoring 10+ runs in 2 of their last 3 as well as 3 of their last 6 games too. They are going up against a Mariners team that is 6-10 this season and has not been playing well in their recent games. They just lost their last series at home to the Cubs, losing their last 2 straight as well as 5 of their last 7 games. Their offense has not been good either as they have scored just 3 runs or less in 4 of their last 6 games, averaging 3 runs scored per game in their last 6 games, and they have only scored 3 runs total in their last 2 games alone as well. They are going to have a tough time scoring runs in this game as well as Frankie Montas is starting for the Reds here and he is 2-1 with a 2.16 ERA this season. He is coming off of a start which he allowed 3 earned runs in against the red hot Brewers offense, but prior to that start he only allowed 1 earned run total in a little under 12 innings in his first 2 starts of the season. He will be looking to have a better performance here as well, knowing the Mariners offense has not been good recently. George Kirby is starting for the Mariners here and he is 1-2 with an 8.16 ERA this season. He was great in his first 2 seasons as an MLB starter but he has been regressing in his 3rd season now. He opened the season with a great performance against the Red Sox, but now he has allowed 13 earned runs in a little under 8 innings pitched in his last 2 starts. He is also coming off of a start which he allowed 5 earned runs against the Blue Jays and also gave up 8 earned runs in his last home start which was against the Guardians. He is going to struggle to keep this hot Reds offense off the board here and the Mariners do not have the offense to keep up in this game with how well Montas has been pitching recently. The Reds are going to win this game.
