AMEDEUS' MLB DIAMOND DINGER!
(MLB) Baltimore vs. LA Angels,
Money Line: -145.00 Baltimore (Away)
Result: Loss
The Orioles are coming into this game with a 15-7 record this season and they have been playing very well in their recent games. They have won their last 3 straight as well as 7 of their last 8 games. Their offense has been very consistent as they have scored at least 4 runs in each of their last 9 games, and their pitching has also been much better as they have only allowed 2 runs total in their last 2 games. They are going up against an Angels team that is 9-14 this season and they have not been playing well in their recent games. They have lost their last 5 straight as well as 6 of their last 7 games. Their pitching has not been great as they have allowed 19 runs total in their last 4 games, averaging close to 5 runs allowed per game in that span, and their offense has been much worse as they have scored just 2 runs or less in 4 of their last 5 games, scoring just 2 runs total in their last 2 games. It will not be any better for the Angels here either as they have Griffin Canning starting and he is 0-3 with a 8.05 ERA this season. He has been awful in his 4 starts this season as he has allowed at least 2 earned runs in each of his 4 starts, allowing at least 4 earned runs in 3 of those starts. He also faced the Orioles earlier this season in his 1st start of the year and allowed 5 earned runs in that game as the Orioles won 13-4. The Orioles have Grayson Rodriguez starting in this game and he is 3-0 with a 2.63 ERA this season. He has been much better in his 4 starts as he has allowed 2 earned runs in each of his 4 starts. He also made a start against the Angels earlier this season and it is actually his best start of the season as he only allowed 1 earned run in 6 innings pitched against them. The Orioles have the better pitching matchup in this game but they also have a lot more momentum with them as they have been winning more games recently with a much hotter offense as well. The Orioles will win this game.
