The Astros are coming into this game with a 24-32 record this season and they have not been playing well in their recent games. He has not been having a good rookie season as he has not had a start yet which he allowed less than 2 earned runs in. He has allowed 7 earned runs between his last 2 starts and he has been much worse on the road as well. He only gave up 3 earned runs in his last road start, but that was also against a much weaker offense in the A's and that was his best road start all season. Prior to that, he allowed at least 4 earned runs in his 3 other road starts this year. The pitching has been very good for the Mariners in this series and that will continue here with Gilbert on the mound as he has been great against the Astros. The Astros will not have the offense to keep their team in this game with this pitching matchup as Spencer Arrighetti is going to give up runs on the road here.
