AMEDEUS' MLB DIAMOND DINGER!
(MLB) Cincinnati vs. Milwaukee,
Money Line: 120.00 Cincinnati (Away)
Result: Loss
The Reds are coming into this game with a 34-35 record this season but they have been playing much better in their recent games. They have won their last 2 straight as well as 9 of their last 11 games, and they are coming off of a 6-5 win against the Brewers last night. They are going up against a Brewers team that leads the division at 40-29, but they have been stumbling recently as they have lost 2 of their last 3 as well as 3 of their last 5 games. Andrew Abbott is starting for the Reds in this game and he is 5-5 with a 3.28 ERA this season. He had 1 bad start at the end of May, but he has been much better in his last starts, only allowing 1 earned run in his last start. He has also allowed just 1 earned run or less in 3 of his last 5 as well as allowing 2 earned runs or less in 5 of his last 7 starts. He has not faced the Brewers this season, but last year he faced them 4 times and allowed 2 earned runs or less in 3 of those 4 starts. Bryse Wilson is starting for the Brewers here and he is 3-3 with a 4.19 ERA this season. He has not been very good this season as he started the season as a reliever but was giving up a lot of runs in his relief appearances back in April. They moved him to a starter near the end of April and he was not pitching poorly, but he was still consistently allowing runs in his starts. Now he has been unraveling in his recent starts as he has allowed at least 3 earned runs in each of his last 3 starts, and he is coming off of a start which he allowed 7 earned runs in against the Tigers who are not a strong offensive team. Wilson is a liability in this game with the way the Reds offense has been scoring runs recently, and this is a team the Reds always get up for as well. The Reds are going to win this game.
