The Ravens are coming into this game off of a season which they were 13-4 and had the best record in the AFC. They ended up losing at home to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship, and they have been sitting on that 17-10 loss all offseason. They always have a lot of quality on defense and they tend to have one of the better defenses in the league under Harbaugh, but they have done a lot to improve the offense this season. Mark Andrews is back and healthy, but they also have some talented receivers with Bateman, Flowers, and Agholor. The biggest move was the improvement of their running game though. Lamar Jackson has always been a big part of this running game, but he is going to have some stress taken off of him this year as they replaced Gus Edwards with one of the better running backs in the league, Derrick Henry. Stopping the run is going to be a very difficult task for opposing defenses now that they have to stop a monster like Henry but also keep an eye on speedy Jackson. They are going up against a Chiefs team that is coming off of a Super Bowl winning season again, winning the last 2 straight now. They were not the best regular season team though as they were 11-6 and even struggled at times. They also lost their season opener at home to the Lions last season so the Super Bowl hangover is a real thing for them. The Ravens are already going to be hungry for revenge in this game with the way they ended last season, but the offense was actually a problem for the Chiefs last year as their defense was their strength. Their defense did struggle with the run game though as they were allowing 4.5 rushing yards per attempt and that will be key for the Ravens beating the Chiefs on Thursday night. The Ravens are going to cover the spread in this game.
