AMEDEUS' MLB GOLD STRIKE!
(MLB) Twins (MIN) vs. Rays (TAM),
Money Line: -136.00 Twins (MIN) (Away)
Result: Win
The Twins are coming into this game with a 75-64 record this season and they are pushing to make the playoffs, currently in the Wild Card but also trying to win the AL Central still, only 4.5 games behind the leading Guardians. They have lost their last 2 straight games and 2 of the 3 games in this series, but they still have a chance to salvage it with a series split by winning this game. They are going up against a Rays team that is 69-70 this season and is well out of the playoff race right now. They have won their last 2 straight games against the Twins, but prior to that they had lost 4 of their last 5 games as they have been very inconsistent. Taj Bradley is starting for the Rays in this game and he is 6-9 with a 4.35 ERA this season. He has been awful in his recent starts as he has allowed at least 3 earned runs in each of his last 6 starts as well as allowing at least 5 earned runs in 4 of his last 5 starts. He also allowed 8 earned runs in his last start alone and has allowed 18 earned runs total in his last 3 home starts. Bradley was very good at home early on in the season, but recently he has been unraveling and this is a great spot for the Twins offense to get a spark as they push to keep their playoff spot. Pablo López is starting for the Twins in this game and he is 13-8 with a 4.05 ERA this season. He has been pitching very well in his recent starts as he has not allowed a run in his last 3 straight starts. He has also allowed just 2 earned runs or less in each of his last 4 as well as 8 of his last 9 starts. He gave up no runs in his last road start as well and he will be looking to continue that here. This is a good bounce back spot for the Twins with these two starters, especially since the Rays have one of the worst offenses in the league this season while the Twins have one of the better ones. The Twins will win this game.
