AMEDEUS' CFB NON-CONFERENCE GAME OF THE YEAR!
(NCAAF) Ducks (ORE) vs. Beavers (ORS),
Point Spread: 16.50 | -105.00 Beavers (ORS) (Home)
Result: Loss
Oregon is coming into this game with a 2-0 record this season, but they have not been very impressive in their 2 games. They struggled to win their 1st game of the season at home against an FCS team, beating Idaho 24-14 in the end, but the trouble did not stop there. They followed up in their last game with a very slim win over Boise State, winning at home 37-34. Their offense was a lot better in their last game than it was against Idaho, but Dillon Gabriel has struggled to finish drives in his first 2 games in this new offense and that was also a problem he had at Oklahoma last year. He has been very accurate in the passing game, completing 83.1% of his passes with 4 TDs and no INTs, but the team has struggled to run the ball this year and that is going to be problematic in this game. They are going up against an Oregon State team that is 2-0 this season and is coming off of a shutout win on the road against San Diego State in their last game. Their defense has been very good this season as they are only averaging 77 rushing yards allowed per game in their 2 games, and their pass defense has not allowed opponents to complete passes accurately. Oregon State also has a very good running game, averaging 299.5 yards per game on the ground, and that is an area of this Oregon defense they will be able to attack. Ashton Jeanty ate on the ground last week for Boise State, rushing for close to 200 yards himself, and Oregon State has a few running backs on the roster that they can creative with in the run game. Oregon State is going to slow this game down with good defense and a very strong run game, they will be able to move the ball on this Oregon defense while Oregon struggles to move the ball efficiently themselves. Even when these two meet, Oregon State has only lost to Oregon by more than 14 points once in the last 5 meetings, and Oregon State has also won the last 2 as well as 3 of the last 4 meetings at home. Oregon is not nearly as good as they were last season on both sides of the ball. Oregon State will cover the spread in this game.
