The Eagles are coming into this game off of a 34-29 win against the Packers in their 1st game of the season. They won that game in Brazil and had to travel back, but they have been given an extra day of rest. The offense was very good in that game as they scored 34 points, but they also had a very balanced attack. Saquon Barkley had over 100 yards rushing in his debut with the team and Hurts had 278 passing yards as well. The Falcons struggled to stop the run against the Steelers in their 1st game of the season so Barkley is going to be able to run right down their throats here, and that will open up the passing game for Hurts to attack this defense deep. They are going up against a Falcons team that lost their 1st game of the season at home against the Steelers 18-10. They lost without scoring a TD in that game and their defense still allowed 18 points against a team that struggled a lot on offense. The Eagles have a much better offense that will be harder for this Falcons defense to defend here, especially being on the road in Philadelphia which is a tough place to play. The Falcons were also awful on offense as Kirk Cousins really struggled in his debut with the team, but the Eagles are a team he is definitely familiar with and he will bounce back with a better game here. Bijan Robinson rushed for 68 yards in that game and the Eagles defense gave up over 150 yards on the ground against the Packers so they will struggle to defend the run here and that will open up the passing game for Cousins to do some damage deep. Jordan Love also had 260 passing yards and scored 29 points in a loss to the Eagles so this defense has many different ways to be exploited. Kirk Cousins will be hungry to bounce back from last week now that the prime time light is shining on him and both of these teams have the quarterback as well as the weapons on offense to come back if they fall behind here so this will be a game which both teams score some points in. Between these two sides, there will be enough points in this game to push it over the total.
