The Predators are coming into this game off of a 4-3 loss in their last game. They lost at home to the Stars in their 1st game of the season and went down 4-1 in the 2nd period, but they fought back in the 3rd to make it a close game. They will be hungry to bounce back here and get their 1st win of the season and they have added some firepower to their 2nd line with the additions of Stamkos and Marchessault. They are going up against a Red Wings team that is also coming off of a loss at home in their 1st game of the season and they will also be hungry to bounce back here in front of the home crowd. They got blown out 6-3 by the Penguins, but they have been improving over the last year and are a potential playoff team this season so they will be looking to correct their poor start. The Red Wings were not very good on defense though and they are not going to keep Nashville out of their net. The Predators also fell behind in their 1st game and now this will be their 1st road game of the season. Both of these teams scored 3 goals in their 1st game and both teams allowed 4+ goals in their 1st game as well so with both teams hungry to get their 1st win of the season here, neither is going to lay back when they fall behind and neither team is going to play sound defense here. Between these two sides, there will be enough goals in this match to push it over the total.
