AMEDEUS' CBB SLAM DUNK!
(NCAAB) Bulldogs (YALE) vs. Flames (UIC),
Point Spread: -6.50 | -105.00 Bulldogs (YALE) (Away)
Result: Loss
Yale is coming into this game after a season where they went 23-10 and were 11-3 in their conference. They lost their top scorer from last season who was also their leading rebounder, but they have returned some of the other starters as well as bench players looking to get their shot this season. Isaac Celiscar filled the hole that Danny Wilf left in their 1st game of the season and they are now 1-0 to start the year. They beat Quinnipiac at home 88-62 in their 1st game of the season and that is going to give them confidence coming into this game as the players that were on this team last season will be hungry to build on the great year they had last season and finish even better this time. They are going up against an Illinois-Chicago team that was awful last season as they were 12-21 and they were also 4-16 in their conference. They are in their 1st season of a new head coach this year, but they are barely returning any players from last season and starting completely fresh with this new coach. They won their 1st game of the season at home by close to 50 points, but they were also playing a team who does not play in Division I. Now they are playing their 1st Division I game under this new head coach and it is against a very good Yale team that is always a threat to make the NCAA Tournament. UIC could see some improvement this season under their new head coach, but there are too many new faces for them to come out of the gate on the same page and beat a team like Yale. Yale will be the more dominant team here with the quality they have and they are going to be hungry to build off of an already great season last year. Yale will cover the spread in this game.
