Baylor is coming into this game with a 5-2 record this season but they have struggled in some of their games against stronger opponents. They are coming off of a 91-60 win against New Orleans in their last game which was at home after the tournament they played in last week, but they struggled in that tournament against stronger teams. They started the tournament with a 1 point win over St John's in double OT, a game they were trailing for most of the night, and they followed that up with a 15 point loss to Tennessee in their next game. Their only quality wins this season were that close win against St John's and a 5 point win over Arkansas in a neutral location earlier this season, but they also have an awful loss to Gonzaga by 38 points in their only road game this season. They are going up against a UConn team that is 5-3 this season and has not been playing well recently, but this is still just Baylor's 2nd road game of the season and it is not going to be easy against the defending champions in their own house. UConn was awful in their tournament last week as they lost all 3 of their games against Memphis, Colorado, and Dayton, but they bounced back in their 1st game back at home with a 50+ point win over Maryland-Eastern Shore. That win restored some confidence in the team, and now they have a chance to get another ranked win under their belt with a win at home here. UConn has been struggling recently, but they are the defending champions and will get up for another ranked team here off of that get right win, especially since Baylor has not been as good against stronger opponents or on the road this season.
