The Bears are coming into this game with a 4-8 record this season and they just fired their head coach after last week's game on Thanksgiving. They lost on the road to the Lions 23-20, but they had a chance to win the game in the end but blew it with some mismanagement. They were completely dominated in the 1st half of that game though and the Lions allowed them to come back in the 2nd half. The Bears have some extra rest on their side since they played that game last Thursday, but this is also a bad spot for them as they are coming off of 3 straight games against tough divisional opponents which they were right in to win, and now they are traveling out West for 1 game right before playing 2 straight division opponents again. They are also going up against a 49ers team that is 5-7 this season and they are not going to let the Bears back in the game like the Lions did as the 49ers are in a more desperate situation. The 49ers are 5-7 and at the bottom of their division, but they are only 2 games behind the Seahawks at 7-5 so the NFC West is really anyone's game. The 49ers have not been good recently as they have lost their last 3 straight games, but their last 2 games were both on the road against much better teams and they had to play in the cold in both games, losing 38-10 to the Packers and 35-10 to the Bills. They have been better at home this season and they are going to be hungry to bounce back after the way they played in their last 2 games. The Bears defense started the season as one of the better defenses in the league, but they have not been as good recently, struggling to stop the run in their last few games. The 49ers are missing their top 2 RBs, but Guerendo has shown some flashes of greatness in his few opportunities and he is going to get up for this game now that he is getting his shot. He will be able to run against this defense with the way Shanahan schemes and that will open up the passing game for the 49ers as well. Caleb Williams has been better in recent games, but he has struggled a lot more on the road this season and there is too much dysfunction surrounding this rookie quarterback this season. The 49ers need to win this game and they will bounce back at home. The 49ers will cover the spread in this game.
