Penn State is coming into this game with an 8-1 record this season and they are 1-0 in the conference. They are coming off of a win against Purdue in their last game, winning that game by 11 points, but now they are playing their 1st road game of the season here. They are going up against a Rutgers team that is 5-4 this season and they are 0-1 in the conference. They started the season playing very well at home with 4 straight wins, but now they have lost their last 3 straight as well as 4 of their last 5 games. They lost to some quality opponents in that span, losing by 4 points to Texas A&M and by 5 points to Alabama, and they also lost both of their road games in that span as well. They have lost 3 straight games and they are coming off of a bad loss to Ohio State in their last game, losing on the road by 14 points, but they are also going to be very hungry to bounce back here at home. They have won all 4 of their games at home this season with all 4 of those wins coming by 10+ points, and this is a great spot for them to bounce back after being away from home in their last 5 straight games. Their defense has been much better there as they have held opponents to 65 points or less in all 4 of their home games while Penn State has not been tested on the road yet this season.
