Gonzaga is coming into this game with a 7-2 record this season and they have been playing well recently. They have won 2 of their last 3 games, but they are coming off of a 1 point loss against kentucky in their last game. Both of their losses this season have come in their last 4 games and both losses were in neutral locations as well. They have played their last 4 straight games in neutral locations, going 2-2 in that span, and this will now be their 5th straight, but this game is also at MSG so this is a much farther travel for Gonzaga than their opponent. They are going up against a UConn team that is 7-3 this season and they have been playing much better since their embarrassing performance in the Maui tournament a few weeks ago. They have won their last 3 straight games and have been dominant in these, winning 2 of those games by 10+ points, but they also have quality wins as well. They beat baylor at home by 4 points and now they are coming off of an 11 point win on the road against Texas. Gonzaga is going to be hungry to bounce back from their loss to Kentucky, but this is not a great spot for them traveling across the country. UConn already has their scare with 3 straight losses in that tournament and they are going to be focused on proving themselves again. UConn has the better 3 point shooting while Gonzaga has the better 3 point defense, but UConn has the much bigger edge in both shooting and defending from the field. This will also be more like a home game for UConn with how close the game is for them and they will be able to feed off of that. UConn will cover the spread in this game.
