The Cowboys are coming into this game with a 5-8 record this season and they have been playing much better in recent weeks despite all of their injuries. They are coming off of a 27-20 loss to the Bengals at home, but they were right in that game with a chance to win until an unfortunate situation happened in the final minute. They have won 2 of their last 3 games though and their offense has scored 20+ points in all 3 of these games. Cooper Rush has been in this position before and he is starting to settle back into the starting role, and he still has plenty of weapons to work with like CeeDee Lamb and Rico Dowdle who has been running much better in their last few games. They are going up against a Panthers team that is 3-10 this season and they have not been awful in their recent games. They have lost their last 3 straight games, but they have been showing some fight in these with 3 point losses to the Chiefs and the Buccaneers as well as a 6 point loss against the Eagles in Philadelphia just last week. Their offense has been much better as Bryce Young has been playing better, but their defense has still been awful and cannot stop the run. They have been getting shredded on the ground all season with one of the worst run defenses in the league, and they have allowed a 100 yard rusher in their last 2 straight as well as 4 of their last 5 games. Dowdle has rushed for 100+ yards in 2 straight games and he just tore up a bad Bengals run defense last week, that is an area the Cowboys can dominate in this game. The Cowboys will have no problem running the ball against this defense and that will help Rush attack this secondary with weapons like Lamb who has still been playing well the last few games. Chubba Hubbard has been emerging in this Panthers offense, but the Cowboys have been stopping the run well in recent games and that will disrupt this Panthers offense. Even with the Panthers playing better recently, the Cowboys are still the better team with a lot more quality playmakers on both offense and defense. The Cowboys will cover the spread in this game.
