AMEDEUS' CFB LA BOWL IN THE POCKET PLAY!
(NCAAF) Golden Bears (CAL) vs. Rebels (UNLV),
Point Spread: -3.00 | -110.00 Rebels (UNLV) (Home)
Result: Win
California is coming into this game with a 6-6 record this season and they were 2-6 in their conference. They started the season playing very well, but they struggled in the ACC against stronger opponents. They did not finish their regular season well either, losing 2 of their last 3 games and coming off of a 38-6 loss against SMU in their last game. They are going up against a UNLV team that is 10-3 this season and they were 6-1 in their conference. They ended the regular season playing very well as they won 4 straight games with 3 of those wins coming by 10+ points, but they also went to the MWC Championship which they lost to Boise State who is now in the playoffs. UNLV had 2 of their 3 losses this season come against Boise State while the other loss was against a 9-3 Syracuse team. California has had a very good run defense this season as they are only allowing 107.1 rushing yards per game and 3.2 yards per carry, but UNLV also has a very strong run game that averages 251.2 rushing yards per game as well as 5.6 yards per carry so they are going to find ways to move the ball on the ground here as they have been so efficient all season. UNLV also has a very good run defense themselves, allowing 109.8 rushing yards per game as well as 3.4 yards per carry, and that is going to be a key piece in this game as Cal has an awful run game. Cal is only averaging 116.5 rushing yards per game as well as 3.5 yards per carry and that is going to be a big problem since they lost their starting quarterback to the transfer portal so they are going with Chandler Rogers in this game and not having a strong run game will hurt this offense. UNLV did lose their head coach, but they hired a good head coach for next season so the team is going to get up for this game to finish the season with a win. UNLV will cover the spread in this game.
