The Broncos are coming into this game with a 9-5 record this season and they have been heating up in their recent games. They have won their last 4 straight games and they have a chance to clinch a playoff spot with a win in this game. They have one of the better defenses in the league this season and they have been great recently as they have held opponents under 20 points in 4 of their last 5 games. They have also been scoring a lot of points recently as well, scoring 29+ points in each of their last 4 games. They are going up against a Chargers team that is 8-6 this season, but they have not been playing well in their recent games. They are coming off of a 40-17 loss at home against the Buccaneers in their last game and they have lost their last 2 straight as well as 3 of their last 4 games. They have had one of the better defenses in the league all season, but recently they have not been good as they have allowed 27+ points in 3 of their last 5 games. Their offense has been an even bigger problem though, scoring no more than 17 points in each of their last 3 games, and they have not been able to run the ball well since losing JK Dobbins. Their run game has been a huge part of their offense all season so it has really disrupted them not being able to run the ball efficiently and that is only going to make the job much easier for this very good Broncos defense. The Chargers have also struggled to get off the field on defense in their last few games, specifically on 3rd down, and that will hurt them in this game. The Chargers won in Denver 23-16 earlier this season but that was when the Broncos were still finding themselves and the Chargers were in a much better place, now the Broncos are the team that is heating up while the Chargers are starting to fizzle out a bit down the stretch.
