(NFL) Steelers (PIT) vs. Ravens (BAL),
Point Spread: 7.00 | -110.00 Steelers (PIT) (Away)
Result: Loss
The Steelers are coming into this game with a 10-4 record this season and they are coming off of a 27-13 loss against the Eagles in their last game. They are going to be hungry to bounce back in this game though and they will have some confidence as they already beat the Ravens at home earlier this season. The Steelers won that game 18-16 at home and they did a good job at slowing down Derrick Henry in that game. They were also able to contain Lamar Jackson and that is something that Mike Tomlin has been able to do throughout his career. The Steelers have won the last 3 straight games against the Ravens going back to last season and they had a much worse offense last season as well. Their defense has also held the Ravens offense to 16 points or less in all 3 of those games. The Ravens are 9-5 this season and this is a big game for them as they have a chance to get back on top of the AFC North with a win. They are coming off of a 35-14 win against the Giants in their 1st game out of their bye, but they did lose to the Eagles going into the bye week. The Eagles were able to run the ball all over them in that loss, but the secondary has actually been one of the bigger problems for this Ravens defense this season. Their defense has been better in their last few games, but they have still been allowing a lot of points and they have not really been challenged by a strong passer. The Steelers did not have a huge day through the air when they beat the Ravens a few weeks ago, but they did what they needed to do to win the game and their defense is going to be a big part of this game anyway as Tomlin has the key to slowing down Lamar Jackson and this Ravens offense. The Ravens have also struggled in the division this season as they have losses to the Steelers and the Browns while their 2 wins both came against the Bengals, and both wins were by 3 points or less. This is too many points for a divisional scrap like this when the Steelers are hungry to bounce back off of a bad loss as well. The Steelers will cover the spread in this game.
