The Chargers are coming into this game with a 9-6 record this season, but they have not been playing well in their recent games. They are coming off of a 34-27 win against the Broncos in their last game which really helped them in the playoff race, but they needed a comeback to win that game after going down early in the game and they have still lost 2 of their last 3 games as well. Their defense has not been great recently as they have allowed 27+ points in their last 2 straight as well as 4 of their last 6 games, and their offense has also been a big problem as they have scored 17 points or less in 3 of their last 4 games. They have also struggled a lot more on the road recently as they have lost 2 of their last 4 games and have scored 17 points or less in 3 of their last 4 games on the road. They are going up against a Patriots team that is 3-12 this season and has not been winning many games recently, but they have been fighting hard in a lot of their games, keeping them close. They dominated the Bills early on in their last game and ended up losing, but only lost by 3 points on the road. They have also been playing much better at home recently as they have lost their last 2 games there, but 1 of those was a 1 point loss to the Colts while the other was a 6 point loss to the Rams. They also have a win against the Jets at home prior to those last 2 losses there. The Chargers have not played in many of these colder December games on the road this season and their offense has been struggling recently so they are not going to dominate the Patriots here as Drake Maye has been playing well in this offense and has been keeping his team in games.
