(NFL) Broncos (DEN) vs. Bengals (CIN),
Point Spread: -3.00 | -118.00 Bengals (CIN) (Home)
Result: Win
The Broncos are coming into this game with a 9-6 record this season and they are coming off of a 34-27 loss to the Chargers in their last game. That loss was big as that put them in the last Wild Card spot in the AFC, and now they have to play the Bengals who are still alive to get that last spot. The Broncos have been playing well recently as they have won 4 of their last 5 games, but they have not played many strong opponents in that span. They had 3 of their wins in that span come against teams with losing records in the Colts, the Browns, and the Raiders. They also had a win against the Falcons when Cousins was struggling and the team was in a spiral. Their defense has not been that good in recent games either as they blew a lead in their loss to the Chargers last week, allowing 34 points in that game, and they have allowed 32+ points in 2 of their last 3 games as well. Their defense also allowed 41 points to the Ravens earlier this season as they have struggled against better offenses with good quarterbacks, and the Bengals have one of the better offenses in the league this season despite their record. They are going up against a Bengals team that is 7-8 this season and they have to win this game to keep their playoff hopes alive, especially since this game is against a current Wild Card team so they are going to get up for this game. They are coming off of a 24-6 win against the Browns in their last game and they have been starting to heat up recently with 3 straight wins, winning all 3 games by 7+ points. Their defense has played better in these 3 games as they have been forcing more turnovers, and the offense has been on fire all season. Bo Nix has been great this year for a rookie, but recently he has been making more mistakes in their games and the Bengals defense will be able to take advantage of that. The Bengals will cover the spread in this game.
