AMEDEUS' NFL REDZONE ROUT!
(NFL) Packers (GB) vs. Vikings (MIN),
Point Spread: -1.00 | -110.00 Vikings (MIN) (Home)
Result: Win
The Packers are coming into this game with an 11-4 record this season and they are coming off of a 34-0 win against the Saints in their last game. Their defense has been playing very well in recent games as they have held opponents under 14 points in each of their last 2 games and they have held opponents under 20 points in 5 of their last 6 games as well. Their defense has been playing well, but they have also been playing against a lot of weak offenses like the Bears and the Saints. They held the 49ers and the Dolphins to 17 points or less, but the 49ers have been banged up this season and both of those teams have struggled in the cold. They also held the Seahawks to 13 points, but the Seahawks just played a 6-3 game against the Bears on Thursday and the only team that really challenged the Packers in that span scored 34 points in a win. Divisional rivals have also been a problem for the Packers this season as they lost both games against the Lions, scoring just 14 points in 1 of those, they only beat the Bears 20-19 on the road, and they lost at home to the Vikings 31-29 earlier in the season. They are going up against a Vikings team that is 13-2 this season and they have been on fire in their recent games. They have won their last 8 straight games and they have scored 27+ points in their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 5 games. The Packers have been much better against the run in recent games, but their defense can certainly be attacked through the air and the Vikings have the quality with players like Jefferson and Addison to burn this Packers defense like they did in their 1st meeting. The Packers have also been relying on the run to open up the passing game for them, but the Vikings have one of the better run defenses in the league this season so it is not going to be easy for the Packers to move the ball here. The Vikings are still fighting for the NFC North with the Lions and they have a chance to win the number 1 seed in the NFC with their last game of the season being against the Lions so they are going to get up for this game at home and take care of business. The Vikings will cover the spread in this game.
