Point Spread: 2.50 | -105.00 Ducks (ORE) (Home)
Result: Loss
Oregon is coming into this game with a 13-0 record this season and they were 9-0 in the conference. They are the only undefeated team in the country and they have some quality wins this season as well. They beat Boise State 37-34 early in the season, but they have improved a lot since that game as that was only their 2nd game of the year. They have a 38-9 win against Illinois, a 32-31 win against Ohio State, and they beat Penn State 45-37 in the Big 10 Championship. They have been tested by good teams this season, passing all of those tests, and they also had to travel East 4 times during their schedule this season, including for the Big 10 Championship against Penn State. They are going up against an Ohio State team that is 11-2 this season and they were 7-2 in the conference. Their only losses came against Oregon on the road and at home to Michigan in their final game of the regular season. They bounced back with a very nice win over Tennessee in the last round, winning 42-17, but they have also played a majority of their games at home this season and the few times they did go on the road, they only had to travel out West for 1 game this year and it was their loss to Oregon. Ohio State has a lot of quality with their skill positions, but they showed in their loss to Michigan that they do not have the physicality. Oregon has been a very physical team under Dan Lanning, already with a win against Ohio State this season, and Oregon also has the much better quarterback in Dillon Gabriel who was able to score 32 points in their last meeting against one of the better defenses in the country. Oregon is going to be able to make the plays on offense to win this game. Oregon will cover the spread in this game.
