Notre Dame is coming into this game with a 12-1 record this season and they have been playing very well in their recent games. They won in the last round against Indiana 27-17 and they have won their last 11 straight games with their last 8 wins coming by 10+ points. Their offense has been on fire in these games as well, scoring 49+ points in 2 of their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 6 games. Their only loss came against Northern Illinois at home, but that was their 2nd game of the season and they have been much better in every game since then as they have not played in many close games this season. They are going up against a Georgia team that is 11-2 this season and they were 6-2 in the conference. They won the SEC Championship against Texas and they have won their last 4 straight games, but they have also had some questionable games this season as well. They took Texas to OT in the SEC Championship but just prior to that game in their last game of the regular season, Georgia only beat Georgia Tech 44-42 in a game that took 8 OT's to find a winner. They also played a majority of their games at home this year and really struggled when they were on the road. They went 2-2 on the road with their only good win being a 30-15 win in Texas. Their other win in those games was a close 13-12 win against an awful Kentucky team, and their 2 losses were in games that were not even close, losing 28-10 to Ole Miss and 41-34 against Alabama, 2 teams who did not make the playoffs. This game is not on the road, but it is not going to be the home environment that Georgia has played much better in this season. Georgia did not have a great run game this season either, only averaging 129.2 rushing yards per game, and Notre Dame has a good run defense that will make it difficult for them to run the ball. Notre Dame also has an even better pass defense so it is not going to be easy for Gunner Stockton in his 1st start this season. Georgia has not been as good on defense this season as they have been in previous years either so they are going to struggle to stop this Notre Dame offense with the way they have been running the ball this year.
