AMEDEUS' NFL PRIME TIME SATURDAY SMASHER!
(NFL) Bengals (CIN) vs. Steelers (PIT),
Point Spread: -2.50 | -106.00 Bengals (CIN) (Away)
Result: Loss
The Bengals are coming into this game with an 8-8 record this season and they have been playing very well in their recent games. They have won their last 4 straight games as they are heating up now and they have had one of the better offenses in the league all season. They need some help to make the playoffs as they need both the Broncos and the Dolphins to lose on Sunday, but they have to win this game to give themselves any chance so the Bengals are not going to quit in this game as they have fought hard over the last month. They are going up against a Steelers team that is 10-6 this season and they have not been playing well in recent games. They have lost their last 3 straight games and all 3 of those losses have been by 10+ points. Their offense has been awful in these games as they have not scored more than 17 points in each of their last 3, and their defense has not been good either as they have allowed 27+ points in their last 3 straight as well as 4 of their last 5 games. The Steelers are still playing for the AFC North here, but that race could be over by the start of this game if the Ravens win in the afternoon so the Steelers could be playing just for Wild Card seeding here. They have been trending in the wrong direction going into the playoffs though. The Steelers have had a big problem on defense in recent games, specifically in the secondary, and Joe Burrow has the quality as well as the weapons to do a lot of damage in this game. The Bengals last loss actually came against the Steelers at home 44-38, but the Bengals are in a much better position since that game while the Steelers have been collapsing down the stretch. The Bengals are going to cover the spread in this game.
