Georgetown is coming into this game with a 17-15 record this season and they were 8-12 in their conference. They did not end the season playing well as they lost their last 2 as well as 5 of their last 6 games. They lost to DePaul in their only game in the Big East Tournament and ended their season with 2 straight losses to DePaul, one of the worst teams in the conference this season. They do not have many players in the transfer portal though and they are going to be hungry to correct their end to the season now that they are getting another chance to play. Georgetown struggled in a Big East conference that was filled with some quality teams this year, but they were a very good team in the non-conference as they went 9-2. They are going up against a Washington State team that is 19-14 this season and they were 8-10 in their conference. They were playing well to end the season as they have won 3 of their last 4 games, but they are coming off of an 86-75 loss against San Francisco in the WCC Tournament. They also struggled for most of the season in a weaker WCC Conference that is very top heavy. Washington State was very good in their non-conference, but they also beat up on a lot of weaker teams as well. Now Washington State is going to be without 2 of their starters as well as some other players who are in the transfer portal, and 1 of those is their leading scorer. Georgetown has been given a chance to have a much better end to their season and they will make the most of it against a Washington State team that is missing quite a few of their players.
