Seth Lugo will be on the mound for Kansas City and he has been stellar so far for the Royals. He has an ERA 1.05 and is 3-0 in his starts for the Royals this season. He’s pitched deep for them and hasn’t given up the long ball yet. He’s also kept runs and walks down to a very low minimum. He should rock in this game against Baltimore. Of course the Orioles offense can go off at any time as they are one of the top offensive teams in the league, but Lugo should shut that down today. KC faces left-handed pitcher Cole Irvin with an ERA of 6.75 who won’t scare the Royals as they are 3-0 versus lefties this season. He already lost his start the other week to KC by giving up 7 hits and 4 earned runs. The Royals have already seen him and will make the adjustments. The Royals are also 6-1 straight up at home as the home favorite this season and have won nine out of their twelve games at home this season so they should have the home edge in this game, especially with the much much better pitcher.
