Miami vs. Colorado (Marlins ML): BEST BET MLB
(MLB) Miami vs. Colorado,
Money Line: -115.00 Miami (Away)
Result: Loss
In this lefty-vs-lefty matchup, I am siding with the visitors!

The Marlins have great splits against left-handed pitchers (.285 BA/.331 OBP/.450 SLG/.781 OPS) with 30 extra-base hits (30% of their total hits vs. lefties) and a lower strikeout rate than against right-handed pitchers... Rockies starter Kyle Freeland has struggled twice this year against teams with great splits vs. lefties, surrendering nine runs (seven earned) in 2.2 innings vs. Pittsburgh and eight runs (five earned) in 2.0 innings vs. Texas.

As for the Rockies, they will be in for a challenge against Braxton Garrett. The 25 yo has surrendered one run on four hits in his last two outings combined (11.1 innings) with 16 strikeouts and two walks. Aside from a mediocre start vs. Arizona and a poor showing vs. Atlanta, he has been consistent, holding his first five opponents to two or fewer runs (22.0 combined innings). The Rockies started this series with two wins, but I believe they'll lose the series finale on Thursday. 0-4 in their last four games vs. a left-handed starter, they have a higher strikeout percentage vs. left-handed pitchers and a .298 on-base percentage against them.

The Marlins, who are 4-0 in Garrett's last four starts vs. a team with a losing record, are my best bet for Thursday's schedule of MLB games.
