New York vs. Atlanta (Mets ML)
(MLB) NY Mets vs. Atlanta,
Money Line: 167.00 NY Mets (Away)
Result: Win
The Mets are finding their groove. Since the Braves outscored them 34-3 over a three-game span, they have won six of seven and outscored their opponents by a combined score of 50-23. That type of scoring will put fear into any pitcher, especially a young starter.

24-year-old Bryce Elder certainly falls into the category. The second-year pro, who surrendered four runs and two homers to NY earlier this season, will be the latest victim. While he dazzled in his most recent outing, he was knocked around in his previous two starts, surrendering 12 runs (10 earned) in losses to the Cubs and Pirates. He's surrendered at least five runs in four of his last seven outings.

Mets starting pitcher David Peterson has been more impressive recently, giving up only six total runs in his last nine appearances (18.1 IP). He has ten strikeouts in his last two appearances (7.1 IP), too. As long as he can walk fewer batters, New York will have a better shot at pulling off the road upset than the odds suggest!
