I'm betting on the under in this game, as I'm very confident these starting pitchers will turn in quality starts...
The rookie O's starter Grayson Rodriguez has been great since returning from his stint in the minors, holding eight of nine opponents to three or fewer runs (four runs in his first start back in the big leagues). The Red Sox hitters have never seen him, which I feel works in his favor... He's 3-1 with a lower ERA on the road this season (4.13) than at home (5.65), but he's been even better on the road since returning to Baltimore in mid-July. In those four road outings, he's allowed eight total runs with 25 strikeouts (24.1 innings).
Boston SP Brayan Bello has also been dependable — he's held five of his last six opponents to three or fewer runs. He had a 3.34 ERA in August and sports a 3.44 ERA at home (13 starts) this season. Like Rodriguez, Bello hasn't faced the Orioles this season and has only faced them once in his two-year career (three runs allowed in 2022).
In a Sunday day game, I'm confident these pitchers will be kings of the hill, doing their part to hold the total to nine or fewer runs!
