ATL vs. PHIL (Falcons ML): BEST BET NFL
(NFL) Falcons (ATL) vs. Eagles (PHI),
Money Line: 205.00 Falcons (ATL) (Away)
Result: Win
I won't pass up the value in an ML bet on Atlanta at +205 odds.

The Eagles looked vulnerable in week one, especially defensively, and will be without star pass-catcher A.J. Brown this evening. I believe Brown is the key to the Eagles' offense, as he's the type of big-body threat that allows DeVonta Smith to flourish in a complementary role. A.J. Terrell is a phenomenal CB, and while the rest of the Falcons' secondary isn't as elite, Brown's absence will help the Dirty Birds hold up in pass coverage. Eagles QB Jalen Hurts made a few questionable throws last week that had me scratching my head...

I'm fading the overreaction to Atlanta's putrid offensive showing in week one, as well as the notion that QB Kirk Cousins doesn't show up in big games. I don't expect the Falcons' play-calling to be as vanilla as it was in week one, and after missing all of the preseason, I anticipate Cousins to be more game-ready. It will also help that TJ Watt isn't all in his face this week, too. Philly had some coverage busts and communication issues in week one and likely needs time to get used to new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio's complex scheme...

I bet big on the Bengals ML yesterday and lost, but I won't go conservative tonight by taking the Falcons to cover when I feel confident they will win straight-up. Let's take a chance for some meaningful cash instead of doing what's comfortable!
