Why should the Eagles be getting 10 points in this game? I just don't see it. BC beat a solid Temple team and while it got crushed by VCU, that was the second game of the season for an Eagles roster that was reassembled this offseason. Boise State beat Clemson but lost by 11 to San Francisco, who lost by 15 to the Tigers yesterday.

In a tournament setting, I believe the games are more chaotic, and big favorites are more vulnerable to high variance. We saw that yesterday with UConn and UNC, who both barely won as sizable favorites. Boston College shoots 39.5 percent from three (26th) and holds its opponents to 26.1 percent (27th) from deep. Boise State has not shot the ball well from long range (33.3%) and did not play well enough defensively versus South Dakota State yesterday, allowing 82 points, as the Jackrabbits shot 42 percent from three and attempted 11 more free throws than the Broncos.

The Eagles should come to play on Tuesday, upsetting Boise or at least covering the spread!
