Defense will always be HC Steve Pikiell's calling card anyway.

Bama played Houston's tough defense yesterday and has been an unreliable outside shooting team this season, shooting 31.8% from deep (243rd). Part of the reason for that is the slumping Mark Sears Jr. (37.7 FG% on 10.2 attempts per game), as well as the Tide's jumbo-sized lineup, which features fewer outside shooters than a season ago.
